This onsite workshop introduces your Year Six class to the concepts that underpin evolution through natural selection.
In this workshop, students will:
This workshop is an ideal introduction to the subject of evolution, but is equally useful for reinforcing prior knowledge through hands-on and engaging activities.
Pre- or post- visit activity: to prepare your class for the workshop, an accompanying on-gallery activity can be accessed and printed (download the PDF (1.7MB) version or DOCX (1.3MB) version). It can be beneficial to complete this during your visit before the workshop but may be used as a follow-up activity afterwards.

This workshop takes place over multiple floors of the Museum. Please inform our bookings team of any access issues ahead of time so we can make arrangements to support you and your students.
This workshop is for Year Six (ages 10-11) only.
The maximum capacity per workshop is 35 pupils. Bookings must be for a minimum of 15 pupils.
The workshop runs at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm on selected weekdays. The duration is 45 minutes.
