Workstations
Take your trays of specimens to a workstation, where you can handle and examine them in more detail. With a computer, magnifiers, microscopes and measuring tools at your disposal everyone has the right equipment to be a scientist.
Each workstation has six spaces, with enough room at each space for two students. The computers at each workstation contain specially designed software that will help you find out more about many of the specimens, in Investigate and elsewhere in the Museum.
You'll also find Qcards at each workstation. These match specific trays of specimens and offer clues, cues and suggestions for further investigation.
At each workstation in Investigate you will find a set of tools to enable you to conduct your investigations:

There are 27 km of specimen shelves in the Darwin Centre - the same distance as between the Museum and Junction 6 of the M1.
