Calveriosoma gracile lives on the sea floor where the sediment is unconsolidated.
The species has been reported from:
A bottom dweller, C. gracile feeds on detritus and small organisms living in the top surface of the sea floor.
Like many deep sea echinoids, little is currently known about its biology.
