Specific male character states are:
- posterior margin of the body is more narrowly rounded than in the female
- the propodosomal shield is wider than in the female. In addition to the four pairs of marginal setae, it has two pairs of dorsomedians (d1, d2) in the region of setae sce. The distance between the bases of the members of each pair is about the same
- the hysterodorsal shield has one pair of median setae near to its anterior edge plus four or five pairs of marginals
- the genital opening is on the dorsal surface, near to the middle of the posterior limit of the body. The aedeagus (penis) is slightly curved
- the gnathosoma is proportionally broader and more heavily sclerotized than in females. The sides of the rostrum (the conical part between the palps) slope gradually to the palp bases and lack large projections
- in the heteromorphic form, the protegmen (the area in front of the peritremes) is longitudinally ridged and may have a few small tubercles, while the palps are more elongate than in the female and homeomorphic male
- Solenidion ω1 on tarsus I reaches to the base of the ambulacrum
