In Pakistan T. dignus is recorded as attacking eggs of sugarcane top borer Scirpophaga nivella. Although it does not provide effective control acting alone, it disturbs the scale layer on the egg masses, facilitating attack by another egg parasitoid, Trichogramma chilonis Ishii.
Where both T. chilonis and T. dignus work together, a significant reduction in pest population occurs, reaching 37% at its peak (Ishtiag et al, 2002).
