Before pupating, these caterpillars are a bright green colour, but they soon begin to change into a dull brown-pink with a spiky turquoise tail.
This camouflages the caterpillar as it travels across dirt and soil to pupate. During this time, it also shrinks considerably.
As its name suggests, it normally feeds on lime tree leaves.
