Distribution

This species is found in:

  • Europe
  • Northern Asia
  • Mediterranean Basin
  • UK, where it is more common in the south than in the north

Habitat

Adult May Bugs are associated with deciduous woodland. The grubs occur in nearby gardens, pastures, parks and nurseries.
