A small sized toad, bordering the small/miniature size categories as defined by Clarke (1996); small 20-25mm, miniature 20mm or less.
Wendy’s toads are probably ovoviviparous like the other Nectoprhynoides species where fertilization is internal and eggs and developing tadpoles are retained in the female’s body until the young are born as small toadlets.
However, the type series included just one adult female which did not contain any developing young so further work is needed to establish the reproductive mode in Wendy’s toad.
This species clearly exhibits extreme philopatry being known from only a single population with a maximum home range of 300m by 300m, and clearly do not disperse beyond this patch. The factors which prevent their leaving this area might well be significant for their future conservation.
