Tabebuia aurea (Silva Manso) Benth. & Hook. f. ex S. Moore is from the family Bignoniaceae, and is one of the most beautiful trees of the Chacoan landscape in Paraguay, due to its bright yellow flowers that bloom all at once.
It is also a widely cultivated ornamental tree.
Its vibrant yellow flowers are up to 8cm long and grow in groups of approximately 40.
The tree flowers in June–August and fruits in August–September.
