Candystripe spider, Enoplognatha ovata

This species occurs in a variety of colour forms and is mainly creamy yellow or pale green, often with 1or 2 red stripes down its abdomen. The body is around 6mm long.

Common all over Britain, candystripe spiders can be found in gardens, grassland and hedgerows. They are generally seen from May to October.
