Distribution

Lavatera oblongifolia’s area of distribution is restricted to the south-eastern Andalusian provinces of Granada and Almería, in the area of las Alpujarras and the surrounding mountains stretching from the Sierra Nevada to:
- Sierra de Lújar
- Sierra de la Contraviesa
- Sierra de Gádor
- Sierra Alhamilla
Lavatera oblongifolia is restricted to:
- calcareous or dolomitic soils
- matorral shrublands
- rocky and bushy mountainous places between 680–1,120 metres above sea level
It flowers from June through to September.
